The Tennessee Dept. of Tourist Development has recently posted articles featuring a number of waterfalls in the state worth considering for a visit. Many are in the Cumberland region.
Tennessee Bucket List-Worthy Waterfalls. These include falls at Old Stone Fort, Upper Piney Falls in Rhea County, Ozone Falls near Crossville, Twin Falls at Rock Island State Park (my personal favorite in the state), and Stinging Fork Falls near Spring City.
Caves, Lakes, Rivers and Waterfalls: Cool Off in Tennessee. In addition to a sampling of the aforementioned caves, lakes and rivers, this article features several waterfalls, including Blue Hole Falls in the Fiery Gizzard (pictured above), and Upper Boardtree Falls, in what is now Savage Gulf State Park.
