What: Join TVA and Discover Life in America as we explore the Laurel Point picnic area at Raccoon Mountain Dam Reservation and use the iNaturalist app to document the vast variety of plants and animals that can be found here. This is your chance to be a citizen-scientist by finding and cataloguing the species that use these lands, while exploring opportunities for recreation at Raccoon Mountain. Friday night we’ll focus on bats, moths, owls, and hunting for some fascinating bioluminescent (a.k.a. glowing) creatures! Saturday we’ll switch the focus to birds and spring wildflowers. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore TVA public lands with the expert naturalists of Discover Life in America!
