Sewanee in Wood and Stone – July

A 2026 photo project featuring the interplay of nature and architecture on the Sewanee campus.

June featured the Purple Coneflowers behind the Wellness Commons. In July, the Black-eyed Susans got their moment in the spotlight.
Carpenter bees liked these flowers, which I believe were growing next to the Woods Laboratories building.
The bottlebrush buckeye flowers, photographed in June behind Bishop’s Common, have been replaced by these seed pods.
