Trailers and Trails at the Appalachian Conservation Institute

  • The Appalachian Conservation Institute (ACI) is working on a long-term goal to move 6 miles of OHV trails out of the Little Sequatchie River. They recently repurposed two 50-ft retired flatbed trailers to create a bridge over a seasonal creek.
  • The 3-mile Mountain Laurel Trail at ACI is now open. (See earlier post).
  • ACI is doing research to find out why there are so many cerulean warblers on the property.

Read about these topics and more in the ACI’s Summer 2026 newsletter.
