Help Chattanooga Become a National Park City

Chattanooga may become America’s First National Park City! Supported through a grassroots movement, the National Park City Foundation aims to make cities around the world greener, healthier, and wilder. Last October, Chattanooga was nominated as a possible contender. This designation would be a monumental victory for environmental stewardship. In 1969, Chattanooga was deemed the most polluted city in the United States due to poor air quality. Years of care and support brought our city to where it is today—an outdoor treasure trove! As a National Park City, Chattanooga would have more support than ever before to live in harmony with the natural world. The movement is currently on step 5 of the process and is seeking support from the community. Chattanoogans are encouraged to sign the charter to support this movement. As a National Park City, we will make strides towards a sustainable and conscious future!
