Now is your chance to speak up on behalf of Tennessee’s abundant waterways!
The Tennessee Office of Outdoor Recreation is hosting three virtual public input sessions this week on the Tennessee Blueways Strategic Master Plan Draft Review. As the hunters, anglers, paddlers, and boaters who utilize these rivers, you should have a say in how they are managed.
Meeting Dates and Times
West Tennessee
Tuesday, February 4, 6–8 p.m. CT
Middle Tennessee
Wednesday, February 5, 6–8 p.m. CT
East Tennessee
Thursday, February 6, 7–9 p.m. ET
The state has set aside $15 million to improve Tennessee’s blueway systems. These meetings are a great opportunity to be part of the discussion around river access and understanding and addressing the problems of overcrowding and overuse on some of Tennessee’s rivers.
Our goal is for everyone to be able to enjoy Tennessee’s waters and other natural resources every time they go outside. You can help make that happen by attending one of these meetings and sharing your perspectives as the people most familiar with those resources.
